DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
  • April 12, 2015
  • 2:30 to 4:00 PM at the
  • Oak Street Church
  • Confessions will be heard during the “Hour of Mercy,” from 2:30 to 4:00 pm on April 12th (3 priests will be hearing confessions)

In preparation for this Feast there is a Divine Mercy Novena that begins on Good Friday, April 3. It was given to St. Faustina as a way to pray for all God’s people to receive His Divine Mercy. The intentions are:
Day 1 (Good Friday) is for “all mankind, especially sinners;”
Day 2 (Holy Saturday) is for “the souls of priests and religious;”
Day 3 (Easter Sunday) is for “all devout and faithful souls;”
Day 4 (Easter Monday) is for “those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him;”
Day 5 (Easter Tuesday) is for “the souls of separated breathren.”
Day 6 (Easter Wednesday) is for “the meek and humble souls and the souls of children;”
Day 7 (Easter Thursday) is for “the souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus’ mercy;”
Day 8 (Easter Friday) is for “the souls who are detained in purgatory;”
Day 9 (Easter Saturday) is for “the souls who have become lukewarm.”
