The Diocese has put out a very strict set of guidelines that we must follow in order to start the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please read through the procedures below in order for us to comply with those guidelines.
- There will be 2 confessionals set up in the Community Center. One at each end.
- The divider wall will also be set up.
- Confession Station #1 will be accessed by the Narthex entrance. The penitent will enter the community center, go to confession and exit out the side door (see diagram)
- Confession Station #2 will be accessed by the hallway outside the Nursery via the Narthex. Penitent will enter the Community Center through the doors directly to the left, proceed to confession and exit out the east exit door of the Community Center (see diagram)
- Park on the Oak St. side of the church and enter the Narthex doors
- Penitent will be required to wear a facemask in the building and use hand sanitizer to enter the building. Penitents are strongly encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer and use it at the door before entering. Penitents must also bring their own facemask.
- Penitents are to exit the building immediately after confession by following the exit arrows and return to their cars. Penitents will do their penance in their cars or at their homes.
- NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN THE BUILDING BEFORE OR AFTER CONFESSION. YOU MUST RETURN TO YOUR CARS FOR US TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT MINIMIZING EXPOSURE TO THE VIRUS.
- The confession greeter will guide you to one of 2 sets of chairs to wait for the priest
- Once the priest is ready for the next penitent, he will ring a bell
- Penitent will go into the corresponding Community Center door and go to confession
- Once confession is completed, penitent will wipe down the kneeler or chair that was used
- Following sanitization of chair/kneeler, penitent will exit the Community Center using the Oak St. Parking lot doors according to the diagram above
