Apo-logia means reasons for. Apologetics has the same origin as evangelism: obedience to a divine command. As the Great Commission to evangelize came from Christ himself, the command to do apologetics came from his first pope, Peter the Rock: "Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Pet. 3:15). To help us better know our Catholic faith, bimonthly a priest at St. Thomas will speak about topics that are of interest to parishioners. The session usually includes 45-60 minutes of speaking and is followed by a question and answer period. Past topics have included, but have not been limited to:
